so i've had a couple people ask me about my new job. I'll try to explain it as best as i can. I work for the Brandon Regional Health Authority, as a community support worker. What a CSW does is provide assistance to elderly and mentally disabled. We provide the assistance needed for them to stay independent and out on there own for as long as possible. So sometimes i will go to a clients place and help them clean it up, or declutter. decluttering is a big one for us. We also go to a clients home as a social visit. sometimes we are the only human friendly contact these people have. Its kinda sad. but we work in rotation..my rotation is 2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights, 1 week days, 1 week nights and every 3rd weekend..
days are 9-530 and nights are 1-930..so far the job is alright..i've also had an interview with canada post, so i am super pumped about it! i think the interview went really good. but i think its gonna be another month yet before i find out...i am keeping my fingers crossed cause if i could get on with canada post then i would be done. i would stay there for good.
Whew. that was a mouthful...but thats my new job, and a basic description of it. its a pretty chill job, but there is ALOT of free time, and i get bored so easy. we'll see what the summer brings...hopefully a visit out to winkler...maybe i can camp out at marcys place and see her swanky new digs!!
