my red smash book!

the red book is the "doodle" style,
so thats what i did to the cover!!


i love this rainbow spread, but honestly??
every page has become my favourite!
each for its own special little reason!!


originally this book was to be "randoms",
but it evolved into my "loves"













i am having way too much fun with this book!!
and its not even finished!!
i have a few more tricks up my sleeve to
finish it off!!

my crazy striped wreath

So i was up at value village last week and stumbled upon a crazy striped sweater that the gap sold a few years back. i remember lusting over those sweaters, and never getting one. i lived out of town, and never made it to a gap soon enough to get myself an XL sweater. fast forward to today, i got the sweater, and saw somewhere online that someone made a wreath with a sweater.. so thats what i did!!! i cut off the sleeves, and sewed the ends together, then i stitched it to the foam wreath mold...once that was done i used some of my felt to make flowers and leaves, and attached some buttons to the wreath too.

i love how this turned out!!!
i still have the body of the sweater,
and i could make another wreath, was thinking about doing just that and selling it..
decisions, decisions...

almost done

working on a layout today with a photo
i really love. using up some KI paper.
i hoard that stuff like there's no
tomorrow. i also broke down and used
some KI hip chip. another case of hoarding.
...all i have left to do is attach a piece
of black cardstock to the back. i may see
if shelley has some frosted black cardstock.



i was considering the black and white
paper thats behind this layout right now,
but i think i like the idea of cardstock
better.

subject change.....
can't stop this spinny head/ dizzyness/ nausea
thing. i know everyone is getting sick of me
dwelling on it, but i feel sometimes if i think
out loud, then maybe i can figure it out...or
at least decide what to do next... i don't like
going to the doctor for every little thing thats
wrong, but not having a clear head really buggers
me up..

...so i can't wait for shelley to get some new
sassafrass in. especially this line called
Sunshine Broadcast". this piece of patterned
paper kicks ass.

Hello again!

I seriously am the worst blogger...
but i think i'll be on here more often
since the gallery is gone now from
the scrap shoppe website (sob). so i
guess i will post layouts here, and
probably facebook.

today i thought i would share some
yummy stuff i have found on the
intrawebs. things that look fun to have,
or make, or just things that inspire me.

first is all that lovely, colourful washi
tape above. i would love a little bit of
it all..



this necklace is super cute. i would like to
try and make something similar..something
rainbow-y....mmmm....


there was this cool tutorial online to make
your own custom coloured twine...i'll
share the link once i find it again.


saw this pillow on etsy.com, i think it
would be fun to do this on a layout.


...and finally, how awesome is this wall
of pencil crayons??? would love to do this
on my wall one day...

wow...i'm such a bad blogger.
maybe i can improve..

so, on sunday i got to see my
favourite band again in Winnipeg

U2!!!


me and mike went with Keri and DanDan..
we were so close!!! i thought i would've
bawled and lost my shit, but i was composed.
everyone i've talked to said it was so amazing
like they're surprised..i wasn't surprised. i
knew it was gonna be killer..

next,

so, crazy scrappy changes going on with me.
after approximately 5 years i said goodbye
to the design team at myscrapshoppe..i was
super sad, cause i love all those girls. but
i figure its only fair to let someone else
have there turn..

i left Michaels AGAIN...nobody was signing up
for the scrapbooking course and that really sucks.
and even when people paid to come to crops i
hosted, they never showed. i didn't take it
personally. i just took it as a waste of time.

and most recently, i have joined Scrapbooking @
Shelley's!!! this is our local scrapbook shop. i
am gonna teach class there and be on their design
team..
(in other news my old scrapbook shop, Paperbag is
closing..not gonna lie...it makes me laugh..karma
does eventually come around...whether its loss of
interest or just retirement. but enough of that)

what else.
work is good.
kids are good.
i am still addicted to buttons.
my dad bought me a 5litre pail for my buttons that
don't go into jars..i've filled it already..and
he's getting me another one. cripes..

weather in lovely brandon really sucks..like today
for instance is dark and rainy, love the thunder, just
tired of the rain.

speaking of my dad, he turned 65 on may16th.
we put a bday greeting in the paper and he thought
it was awesome. people were wishing him happy bday
for days after.

well...thats all i can think of.
i'm sure i've missed stuff.
put oh well..

hello march!!

so thankful that spring is that much closer.
but march is a crazy month..its birthday
month for my family, including my mom, Aymie,
my nephew, my father in law, and me..

crazy times, but its all good.
so because of all the birthdays, my sister
gave me my gift early, a tattoo!!!



i think this tattoo represents me perfectly.
its on my left wrist, its rainbow-y and its
my own writing.. so i created it myself!
i'm actually pretty proud of it.

i've also become obsessed with value village..
i have scored some pretty sweet pyrex finds
there for real cheap.


the dark green casserole dish is a great find. it still has
its lid and is in great shape. i think it was 7 bucks..
it has all the astrological signs around it. super cool!


I love this pattern. i actually have a smaller bowl inside
that one. these are in great shape too. and i paid 7 for both.

i also love all the butter dishes i've collected.

i actually plan on doing a layout on both of these topics
right away...
i may incorporate them into the new blog challenges that
we're working on at my-scrap-shoppe-dotcom.

it never ever fails..
i am so bad at blogging.
see the date of my last post???
i was gonna make a resolution
to be more frequent, but i just feel
sometimes i have nothing to say.

anyhoo....
in an atttempt to be creative i have
made a coupla layouts that i really
love.

first layout was for the weekend online crop
going on. i posted it at the beginning of
the week, so people could think about
which quote they wanna use. i have been saving
those alpha stickers for the right layout
and it felt really good to finally use
them, and love the result!
..also, i had never seen these photos of me.
i think they're cute..i'm pretty sure they
are from grade 2 or close to that.

**i sanded the photos. it looks like a thin
white mat around them, i like the illusion.


this layout i did sat night/ sunday morning.
i had never seen this photo before either, or maybe i
for got about it. but i love this style of
scrapbooking, it allows you to use smaller
pieces of paper and scraps...love doing that!
i think i may hang this one up, cause i love
that its of me and my sisters.


so thats it for now..
maybe i'll start posting my layouts here as
i finish them.
